We spent almost three weeks there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pool is a fantastic amenity and we used it every single day. The pool is very clean and there is a great filtration system that works very well. It is amazing to live in a house with a pool that is basically in the living room. LIfeguarding our kids in the pool was very easy: you can lifeguard from the beautiful dining room table. It is a fascinating indoor/outdoor space that is a very different way of living. It felt like you are outdoors, but you are indoors. 

There were some gaps around the edge of the upper pool roof, and I thought that maybe bugs or critters would get in, but they didn’t (for the most part). I did see a beetle once or twice – but over three weeks, that is a pretty good record. The house is a bit dark at night- we ended up moving some lamps back and forth to rooms we were using. The outlets are also mostly “two-pronged” so to plug in laptops, for example, we had to share outlets. 

There is one adapter to switch one outlet to a three-pronged one. The house is definitely older and has some quirks, and the washer/dryer is old and ready to be upgraded, but overall we had a wonderful experience there and will remember our time in Casa Peces very fondly. I would definitely recommend this place to others. It was a perfect place to self-isolate in a pandemic. Having that indoor pool was a HUGE plus for self-isolating that with kids. If your kids are smaller, I would not recommend it- there is no separation between the pool and the house/bedrooms. For bigger kids, it is perfect.
